Re: Next Year's Roster
I would be surprised if we didn't get a transfer out, maybe more than 1. Typically, Coach didn't dole out an overabundance of sub minutes. I'd be surprised if Cheesman, for example, didn't expect to get more playing time than what she got. And she would head my list of possible transfers. I have abs...

WHAT A SHOCK! (not). If the NCAA didn't move at about the same speed as the tectonic plates, this would (and should) have happened years ago.

Re: Vandy-Bama stats
Several players had sub-par games, but we made the plays when we had to. Stute was a huge plus for us. Wright, although inconsistent offensively, limited his turnovers and was terrific on the boards. QMB was steady, and Chatman was great, especially at the end. Dezonie made some positive plays durin...

Re: Off-season topic for debate: would switching conferences have made VU football more successful?
I pretty much agree with Auric's last paragraph. But I think the "fundamental change" in college football brought about by the NIL and the transfer portal is greater than he seems to be implying. It's a fair point, and definitely not one I am underestimating in terms of impact on VU. But ...

E. Suggests that we could have been the first to employ tandem head coaches — one to recruit and one to run the plays.
Maybe a 3rd one to clap incessantly?

I'd hate to have to do a post-game interview after laying that turd.

Re: Question for the Belmont fans on here
When I was in my early 40's, 20 years after getting my Vandy degree in Economics, I took 30 hours of undergraduate courses at Belmont at night in Business (mostly Accounting) to help me in a position I had been transferred to. I found the professors to be excellent, and my fellow students (virtually...

Re: This team is interesting again.
Pippen is very, very good at taking over a game and carrying the team on his back. He was the reason we came back and almost pulled it out at the end. A VU squad without Pippen is the 13th or 14th best team in the league. He is fun to watch, if stress-inducing at times.

Re: aTm game thread
We played a lousy first half against a lousy team. TAM pressures the guards out front, and we are befuddled. We should be able (coach should be able) to get some cheap baskets against that defense. Instead we just throw it away. We should be able to figure that out at halftime. If we don't we will (...

Re: Weekend Starters according to Tennessean
Little should transfer Little should improve. He had many chances last year to stake a claim as a premier pitcher, and he failed to do so. Hopefully he's gotten better, and will have further chances this year to show his stuff. If he can't work hiw way into a starting spot on this staff, he has no ...

Did not see McElvain, Maldanado, and Holton lining up as the opening weekend starters. https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2022/02/16/vanderbilt-baseball-corbin-names-starting-rotation-vs-oklahoma-state/6818265001/ Our starters: 1.
