Re: Sending Big Blue hordes home early... is there anything better?

The best thing about it is that if you haven't done so already, there are plenty of cheap tickets now available for the game today. Before yesterday's games, the cheapest tickets were over $100. Now you can get them for as low as $25. Everyone that can should go out and support this team today.

Re: Team Rankings now says 79%

FWIW, this is the latest from Lunardi: PLAYED THEIR WAY IN: Penn State, Mississippi St. and Rutgers. PLAYED THEIR WAY OUT: Nevada, North Carolina and Michigan. TOO CLOSE TO CALL: Pittsburgh, Utah State, Arizona St., Oklahoma St. and Clemson (five teams for three spots). LURKING: Oregon and Vanderbil...

Re: Very important win

It’s been a long time since Vandy has had a point guard like Ezra. With speed and quickness. Offense and defense. His ability to penetrate, handle the ball, finish at the basket and shutdown the opposing point guard have been off the chart. Needless to say he has far exceeded expectations. Unfortun...

Re: Disadvantage

The real disadvantage to the schedule happens on Saturday, when you are playing your third game in three days, and the Friday game finishes at 10:30 PM and you are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday. The other thing I worry about is that we got banged around quite a bit last night. Wright took a big ...

Re: SECT Seeding?

I do not believe that the analysis that we can at best get the 5th seed is correct. Theoretically, if UK, UT, and Mizzou lose and we win, we'd be the third seed based on the 3+ team tie rules here: https://www.secsports.com/article/11098238/tournament-tiebreakers. If we are tied with UK and UT, UK ...

Re: "Luck" Statistic

I cold be wrong, but I think a lot of the luck statistic is related to performance in close games. In theory, very close games should even out over time. The Byars/Foster bunch EXCELLED at close games. The Taylor/Ezeli teams really didn't. This year, despite the Missouri loss, we have won more than...

Did he have a license to carry/transport that gun? If he hadn't brought that gun would the young lady still be alive? Seems like he would be an accessory to the crime... But-but-but...2nd Amendment...Alabama and all...gun rights... Haven't been able to find any article that says the gun was owned l...

Re: SEC coaches LIKE v LOATHE

Arky coach- watched a cpl more games after ours and it seemed Tony Black was behaving (and uber talented) After the Arkansas game, my son DM'ed Anthony Black (as kids do these days) calling him out for his behavior in the game. Black responded to him, saying that basketball can be an emotional game...

Re: Big trouble for Alabama's Brandon Miller from January incident

When Oates said that they were aware of Miller's involvement, I wonder if that was just the basketball staff or if that included the AD. I like how Oates said Miller hadn't been in trouble before, I guess except for his involvement in this murder. Playing Devil's Advocate, if Miller cooperated with ...

Re: OT: You see what they are building on West End?

After reading the article, I am somewhat surprised that Vanderbilt didn't spend the $16 million for the land themselves, so that they could control what was on it.

Re: Hugh Freeze to be named Auburn's next coach

So after the 2020 season, Auburn paid $21 Million to get rid of Gus Malzahn for going 67-35 (.656), 35-27 (.585) in the SEC, and 3-5 against Saban, and two years later they are replacing him with a coach with baggage from his last two jobs, went 39-25 (.609), 19-21 (.475), and 2-3 against Saban at O...

Re: VU fined $250K for storming the field

Clemson has a tradition of "Meeting at the Paw" after every home victory. I have a kid at Clemson, and I asked if they did that after every game or just victories. No one knew for sure because none of them has ever suffered through a home loss. Totally different college football experience...

Excited about getting some of the signees to campus. Lost in that news/overlooked is Kumar falling to a projected 54. I feel like the Mets really screwed him. I know it recently came out that he had minor shoulder surgery (simple scope, which for an athlete of his caliber these days is nothing too ...

“Due to the current climate of college baseball…” What the hell does that mean??? “NIL” payday elsewhere? Well, it does mean that he will be immediately eligible at any school he decides to attend. I am hoping that means that a number of the top pitchers in our recruiting class are planning on atte...

Re: Carter Young to LSU

Contrary to what has been posted previous .... his BA ended at .207. He wasn't a .280 hitter immediately before his shoulder separation .... his BA was right about .260 just before he slid into 2nd base only to pop his shoulder. The accurate picture on C Young at Vanderbilt is that his career BA wa...

I believe Gavin Casas and Donnye Evans are still out there.
It looks like Casas is going to South Carolina. I wish these guys wouldn't be going to SEC schools.

Re: Carter Young to LSU

I take this as an indictment of Mike Baxter and the lack of faith in developing hitters. Carter went from a first round probable to a .210 hitter who struck out all the time. I think there is some reason to question the development of our hitters. However, I wonder how much of Young's issues might ...

Re: P Andrew Dutkanych says he intends to go to Vandy

At 32, we may see him on campus. Slot value last year was $2,257,300. 17 was $3,609,700. If you are coming off TJ and can't pitch for a year, $2.2m is a no brainer. Lesko will likely go higher than that as he was the top arm in the class coming into the year. As for Dutkanych- much needed. He is dr...
