Re: SEC coaches mentioned in the U of L opening
After the NCAA problems they have experienced, I would be surprised if they consider any of these, but as John Madden used to say “winning is the best deodorant”.

Most years, I agree. This year I give a slight edge to the SEC.

Re: If Wade or Pearl coached Vanderbilt…
Rick Pitino is openly lobbying for a job in one of the five big conferences. He turned Iona around overnight. Some one will grab him and never look back at all of his many indiscretions.

Re: Six games into the conference schedule
Mann needs to do a body transformation like Wright did. Uhhhh. Agree to disagree. He’s one of the most physical players on the court. And that transition rim rocking dunk he threw down at UGA demonstrated ample speed and hops. Mann has great effort and a hard worker, but at 6-6” playing the 4 or 5 ...

Re: If Wade or Pearl coached Vanderbilt…
I would take Bruce Pearl today. Did anyone see the clip of him addressing the students just before the KY game ? Google it. It was amazing. We need some of that energy.

Re: CJS is something like CKS 2.0
I like your optimism, but the five starters you mentioned out of 18 potentials are on track to finish 12th in the conference. I expect 6 in the transfer portal after this season. Unless these 4 recruits coming in next year are awesome, things may not be much better next year. We need to be a bubble ...

Re: Six games into the conference schedule
Is SPJ good enough to be drafted in the 1st 2 rounds? I don't believe so. Will his ego be ok with that? That's the question... Fans (and I think Coach) are tired of watching him dribble himself into the corners to throw up low percentage shots. The UF section rightfully harassed him with their &quo...

Re: Six games into the conference schedule
I see two more wins on the schedule. I would love to see us eek out 4, but losing 4 of our last 5 gives little hope. If we don’t beat Georgia at home on the 29th, we will be looking at a 6 game losing streak.

Re: UT fans bragging about beating Vanderbilt 9 straight times
We can’t go back to seeing close losses as moral victories. UT fans tweeting “Memorial Gym like getting 2 home games a year against our rival” doesn’t help either. Selling the student section sucked, but My seats in Section D were surrounded by blue one game and orange the next is just as bad.

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
Actually A&M has 3 losses and let's look at who some of the wins were against. North Florida. Corpus Christi. Houston Baptist. NWLA St. Central Arkansas. They beat Arkansas, At Missouri, Norte Dame, Oregon St, Butler, and Georgia. Not bad for a depleted roster two years ago. They are 4-1 in the...

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
Getting to .500 after 4 years is the definition of mediocrity. Here's what you are intentionally missing. Getting to .500 after your bryce drew guy took the program all the way down to .000 is different than what Nate Oates and those guys were up against. By a bunch. Alabama was coming off 5 overal...

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
While the previous guy only took 3 years to get to .000 in the league. I'll take .500 in year 4 over .000 in year three. Then you are settling for mediocrity. I was glad the last coach was fired too, but I still think we should expect more. Nonsense. He didn't say "I'll take .500 for the next ...

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
If you are correct and this our returning roster AND the freshman class is not amazing and worth saving then the Stackhouse experiment should end. With todays transfer rules, it should not take 4 years to get to .500. I don’t see any talent that can compete with UT, UK, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, etc on ...

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
If those four freshman who are considered “a top ten recruiting class in the US” cannot make the postseason, then we need a new coach. I’ve watched film and read about each one and I can see those 4 + Liam being our starting five. Not sure who you’re quoting there, but I haven’t seen this class ref...

Re: Stack's Post Game Presser
I like Stack. I think we could have done better, but we could have done a lot worse too. VU was never going to pay the price for a great coach. My biggest concern is his game and clock management in close games down the stretch. Last night and the SC game were an F-. He had 2 timeouts in his pocket ...
