If we had not walked or hit anyone nor made any errors in the first 3 innings, Ole Miss would not have scored. Instead, they have 9!!!!

Up to 6 walks and a HBP with only 1 out in the 2nd

That’s the difference between between walking people and not. In UM’s 1st, they get 4 walks & 3 hits (and a missed call) and they score 6. In VU’s 2nd, we get 3 hits & only score 1, because they’re not walking us.

Well Clarke's huge 2-out triple in the 8th and our outburst in the 9th saved our bullpen from major embarrassment. 5 runs given up in 1.1 innings with only 2 hits (3 BBs and 2 HBP). Now up 6-4. We have totally let UA back in this game. Lead off BB and HBP come back to haunt us as they both score with only a single hit. Then, UA scores 2 more after a bunch of miscues by our defense in the bottom of the 6th. We also squandered bases loaded with 1 out and 1st & second & 2n...

This lost series now places real pressure on us to win next weekend's series with Ark (if we want to have a shot at a national seed), since we're now only 7-5 in the SEC and 4-5 against top 25 RPI teams.

Glad to get the one win at UGA considering how silent our bats were. Also glad to get the clutch 9th inning HRs this week (in our two wins). Without them, we'd be sitting on a 5 game losing streak.

HUGE, HUGE road win against a top-5 team. What a clutch pinch-hit BOMB by Grisanti to tie it up in the 9th!! Also, what a clutch performance by our bullpen to keep them in check and give us a chance to come back and win it.

Items of note...

The ONLY 2 runs we've allowed so far in 2 games against UF were bases loaded walks. WOW. Starting pitchers haven't allowed a run in 15 innings.

Impressive win by Auburn. Down 0-5 at #2 MSU and come back to win 6-5. Auburn, LSU, Ark all now 4-0.

Yes. No problem there.

I tried it out when we played Ill St. I like the idea, but not sure about the implementation. $18 for my first (and only beer) is too much.
