Re: Verdict on the new coach

Long story short, hard to blame Lea on a roster that mostly isn’t his and left a lot to be desired last season as it was. The next recruiting cycle will be the first true test, especially given the credentials of those leading said efforts.

And yes, Vandy beats UConn.

Re: The sound system is horrible

The PA system bled into the radio broadcast last night and based off that I was unsure if I was listening to a high school or college football game.

Absolute embarrassment, on field product aside.

Norman was making that point earlier on the radio broadcast. ETSU absolutely owning us.

The Vandy app is working great for me.

Re: Vanderbilt-ETSU game thread

Listening to Andrew & Norman. Easy to make comparisons to the old regime, but they’re doing good.

Re: Seals

As I said last season, starting in the SEC as a true freshman is a tough task to begin with, much less the situation Ken was put into. If anything he’s going to use that adversity to further fuel himself on field (And as others have said, that offense was actually halfway decent last season all thin...

Re: Never in all my years of fandom...

Thanks for the recap Brent! How does one find out about this type of event and get an invite next year? (I’d gladly pay $100 for the experience… in fact, I’d pay $500 if they’d like to do it more as a fundraiser) I got an email about it. Not sure if it’s because I’m a Gridiron Club member, former S...

Re: Future Schedule? @ LSU ? @ bama?

The SEC has the crossover schedule out until 2025, albeit given recent events that might need to be reworked. In reference to your question, the Dores’ next trip to Tuscaloosa is scheduled for next season while Baton Rouge is slated for 2024 while a visit from Auburn fills the gap in 2023 and Arkans...

Re: Amazing! Lea gets ZERO questions about Covid, and jersey numbers

Lea is a universe away from his predecessor in every important way, I believe. The “different program” comment really stuck with me. I mean, yeah, CCL is right in that it’s literally a different staff but I also feel like it speaks to a simultaneous culture shift which has trickled down from Chance...

Re: TEXAS & OKLAHOMA INQUIRING ABOUT JOINING THE SEC?!?!?

What about VU to the ACC? Not advocating it, just asking. That...is not an option I hadn't considered but it's not like the ACC doesn't have experience with private schools with great academics. I really feel like if Chancellor Diermeier and CSL play their cards right they have a few options like t...

Re: TEXAS & OKLAHOMA INQUIRING ABOUT JOINING THE SEC?!?!?

Not much of a denial. I think it would make our position more tenuous in the SEC. An SEC super conference would get no higher TV ratings in middle TN with Vandy than without. It only depends on whether they want to keep us around as a punching bag and academic window dressing. Baseball? Basketball....
