Darren Agu is listed as the No 1 DE. That's a new good development, right?

Re: Ladies and gents: We have an updated fall roster!

We're looking good at OL, DL, QB, WR, LB, DE, and the secondary.
RB is solid but man I wish Ray (or someone like him) was coming back. He was key to our wins last year. Patrick Smith needs to step up!
TE is yikes thin.

Re: Commit Connor Cobb’s team DQ’d after no hitter

Sucks for the kid and team. Coach should've been following it closer. That said, the word on the street is that the info about pitch count violation came from a coach who was not participating in the game. His team was already in the championship game and was scouting to see who he'd have to play. A...

Re: Commitment (Class of 2025): Caden Knighten, 5-10 175 RB Wynnewood, OK

I know you don't recruit 'em just to lose 'em, and I hope ( and believe) we will hang on. But as i've said before - having a high profile recruit in the fold for 2 years is valuable even if he ultimately leaves. It gets other recruits excited, creates interest among analysts, builds momentum etc. Th...

Re: Ok so who thought we were going to lose at the end

When QMB left with 4 fouls I was worried, but not hopelessly so. Then when UK made their run, I was again worried, but not hopelessly so. The broadcast put up our statistic about winning close games 8-4 in games 5 points or less (now 9-4!). That made me feel pretty confident with 2 min left to play....

Robbins?

I'm guessing from the silence that he is in fact done for the year. Anyone know different? Regarding Dort - I remember when he got injured, the time table for his injury was long enough that he was effectively done, but with this team possibly on the brink of some sort of post-season (not the case w...

Re: Clark Lea comments on his first-year staff hires

I'm a big believer in culture, chemistry, and "good fits." The company where I work is all about it. But it's definitely balance. Certainly your position coaches and coordinators can't just be hired for their cohesive philosophies - they have to be able to bring the goods. But yeah, it see...

Re: NIL GONE WILD

I'd be interested in what an ad firm would advise a client with respect to the actual value, in business terms, of NIL for an unproven 18 year old potential college player who will be playing in, say, Knoxville TN. Probably next to nothing. To get these kind of sums for an ad campaign or sponsorshi...

Re: Vandy bringing in a Texas QB for OV, and other recruiting news

Trace McSorely was small and when he verballed to Vandy, I gave him zero chance of being a starting power 5 qb. He was quite effective at PSU.
The spread offense makes the 6'3" + prototype less of a prerequisite in the college game.

C'mon Storer!

Re: Lea: A.J. Swann still "working his way back"

Agree. But I would be very disappointed if Coach Lea came out and said who are starting QB is going to be. Let that TN defense worry about both Wright or Swann taking snaps in the game. How coach runs practices does not need to agree with what he says to the press. At this point I trust the coaches...

Re: Lea: A.J. Swann still "working his way back"

"...we're hoping for him to be back at practice Wednesday... if so, it tips to the one who gives us the best chance to win." Eh... I don't love this. At this point, I want our qb to have full confidence that he's the man heading into this game. I'd rather have Mike Wright coming off a two...

Re: C.J. Taylor is becoming a star before our eyes

That's not to rip on Worship, who has been a great four-year player for the Commodores and is still getting plenty of playing time. But Taylor's play is just jumping off the film. Agreed, Brent. He's an unbelievable player. Against KY, he had a(nother) sack, INT, TD saving tip and is just a chaos-c...

Re: Best win since ??

People gravitate to the 2016 Georgia win when trying to determine Mason's best, but really, the later win over UT the same year was far better. UGA was unranked when we played them and finished the year unranked. While it was a great, improbable road victory, we barely eked out a 17-16 defensive bat...

And now that Harsin is out, an al.com story about his relationship with Coach Mason emerges: An excerpt (but there's a little more in the article): Harsin and Mason had an interaction where Mason said “I’ve been a head coach in this league longer than you have.” Harsin replied, “Oh, you mean at Van...

On the way to work today I dodged dozens of potholes… Can we fix those first? And MNPS still has tons of openings. But hey a super bowl would be a fun shiny thing too. $2.2 billion. Sheesh. So the PSL owners get any money back? EDIT to answer my own question - I just talked to my neighbor who is a ...

Some of my colleagues had the chance to work with Mr. Burden doing some publicity work. They all really liked working with him. They spoke highly of his maturity, smarts and professionalism. He hasn't quite broken out yet, but he's going to be a star player for Mizzou. Hope the break out doesn't hap...

QB Recruit?

With Mooney decommitted (weeks ago), Marcel Reed committed to Ole Mis and Minchey committed to Pitt, who is our target at the qb spot for this class now? Related Note, I see that Randon Fontenette's interest has changed from "warm" to "warmer" on 247. Looks like it's between us a...

Thoroughly enjoyed the Irish win. I know ND chaffs a lot of fans of a lot of teams including a few VU fans, but... even if that's you, take solace in knowing that losing to ND inflicts as much pain on UT fans as almost any other team. They HAAAATE ND. Also, agree with the criticisms of Vitello. He k...
