Question about Regionals

I do not recall that they stripped the challenges against bad calls in these regionals. A bad call just cost UNCW the game against OSU and they cannot even challenge. This makes no sense to me.

Thank God.....They beat OSU at least 3 times yesterday and bad calls gave OSU false hope.

UNCW had a guy on 2nd and the batter hit a single that was fielded mid outfield. UNCW sent runner home and he was clearly safe and ump called him out. There was even an earlier similar play and I thought the UNCW runner was safe at home on that one and was called out. Thus I felt that the boys of UNCW had to beat OSU 3 times to get the win. Sad

Perhaps to reduce how long regional games take? There are potentially 112 of them in 4 days at 16 sites.

It has to do with how many tv cameras the production companies can gather at one time. The SEC have as you know 10 teams for SEC Network to cover. You will have only 1/2 as many games in the super to cover as you have in the regionals.

The production companies had no trouble showing repays for television audience.
