Poteet was also named league MVP, and P David Horn was named the top pro prospect:

I liked what I saw from Horn during the season… and if Poteet can bring a lively bat to the lineup that would obviously be welcome.

If he can hit, Poteet can fit into our lineup. Third string catchers don’t get a lot of action, but DH is open.

I looked at a few box scores from the Sanford Mainers and saw that the lineup was often Calvin Hewett, Matthew Polk and Logan Poteet batting 2, 3, 4.

Perfect game says Poteet is also an infielder (1B?), but the Sanford games I looked at showed Poteet at Catcher and DH.
