LaNeve can’t flag down a long fly - and Kumar is pulled.

We are down 4-3.

Not a good outing for Rocker. Glad we did not let him throw 90 pitches. Announcer got it exactly right: no rhythm for Rocker tonight.

McElvain seems to have good stuff tonight.

Sadly, he gives up a bloop single. 5-3.

Big inning coming up. Heart of the order.

Hope we are patient. Make this guy throw strikes.

Need to respond to that bad inning.

Kumar had poor control tonight but he will bounce back. We need to just relax and enjoy beating these guys. Too tight.

Shame Thomas didn't hit LAST inning.

Imagine if Bradfield had not swung at ball four...

Pitcher falls behind 2-0 and grooves one. Thomas goes yard.

5-4. Ump continues to have a very consistent zone - even on close ones.

Important: we did respond to the bad inning.

We have 1 more hit but 2 fewer runs. Been a trend that we have to end

We're going to "pitch in the dirt" our way right out of this tournament.

Doesn't bode well for Omaha.

Berkwich with a 1-2-3 inning. Needed that.

It’s funny - it feels like we are down more than 2.

We are very much within striking distance if we wake up.

While it would be great to win this game, it is the best team in the country we're playing.

Arky manager with another quick hook - in the middle of a count.

I love that, actually.

No one out. Runner on 1st, 2-0 on Bradfield. Down 6-4 in the 7th. Arky has “called the Kopps.” Big moment here.

Third strike to Bradfield was outside.

Seventh free pass of the night - and another lead-off one.

You could see him saying "it was high" in the dugout. And it was.

Kopps is unhitable if you stand there with your bat on your shoulder.

He isn't a happy camper after that one.

Wow. I have seen him upset before, but rarely having an audible sigh waiting for the unprepared female reporter try to choke out a question. His answer could be translated too, but they might ban me for putting it down here.

I get the impression he is frustrated and I wonder if this degree of frustration is a sign that he doesn't know how to fix the multiple problems he and we see. He has a whole lot of experience, but it appears this team has him frustrated and worse flummoxed. Just a guess.
