RICHMOND CB COMMIT ALLAN GEORGE LANDS VANDY OFFER AFTER FACETIME WITH MASON, SETS OFFICIAL VISIT

Vanderbilt’s cornerback recruiting has been a game of swings and misses. As of right now, they have offered quite a bit of 2017 cornerback prospects, but have recently missed out on guys like D’Angelo Gunter and several others. However, with the need to add another cornerback to go along with current commit Randall Haynie, the staff will take a guy no matter what.

The staff is currently chasing 2017 Sebastian, FL (Sebastian River) and recent Minnesota decommit CB Raheem Layne. But even after a recent in-home visit with him Layne, he still looks destined to become an Indiana Hoosier. Well, Derek Mason and his staff are very prepared for this and have already made their next move.

On Wednesday night, coach Mason had a virtual in-home visit to see 2017 Andalusia, AL and Richmond CB commit Allan George. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder just recently committed to Richmond on Jan. 15th. George’s commitment to Richmond took a hit after his in-home visit with coach Mason as he walked away with an offer from Vanderbilt.
