That huge K by Reilly is pitching depth. Holton had a bad night, doesn't make him a failure.

Bugler’s not the greatest defensive catcher we’ve ever had, but I think he frames pitches well.

EBjr is such a good CF. Just held a double to a single with speed to the gap.

That was a great AB by Polk, fouling off 3-4 pitches just off the strike zone and then jumping on a hanger up and going the opposite way for a double, just as he did on the fouls.

At 67 I think I could beat Bulger to first. Still, 6-3 good guys.

Reilly with a nice night. He could start for a lot of teams.

When Reilly is good, he is very, very good. We got the good Reilly tonight. Terrific job!

Maldo Ks the first guy in the 9th...on the exact same practically unhittable pitch that the UT guy golfed for a game-tying HR last week. He's thrown four of them for swinging strikes tonight, 2 on strike 3's.

I don't know why he was so upset and why our announcers had no idea why the umps called a ball. Simple, the pitcher turned as if to throw to second but didn't. On the next stretch, he did it again, but still didn't throw. That resulted in a dead ball call of a ball. It is dead ball because of what happened: everyone was confused and Bradfield was tagged. Luckily there was a dead ball time out and it became 2-1.

The strike zone thimble is a mystery. But it hurts good pitching which is about edges.

Teams are taking a lot more pitches from our good pitchers - and it is hurting us. We need to adjust. But frankly it just seems arbitrary. It helps hackers and hurts good baseball.

Is it every where or just the SEC?

RPI went up 1 spot this morning. That's what happens when you beat the #2 RPI team.

Well, at 76 I could maybe beat him if they gave me a five minute head start.
