I was able to confirm with multiple sources that Vanderbilt is currently hosting Illinois running back transfer Ke'Shawn Vaughn as we speak. The former in-state prospect and major Vanderbilt target recently announced that he will be transferring from Illinois after a lack of touches this year. Since that point, he has been in contact with coach Mason and their relationship is really starting to grow. I would not be surprised if Vaughn gives his commitment to the staff as he already holds an offer from the Commodores. He would have to sit out this season, but will have two years of eligibility.
Vaughn looks to be the top transfer target that the staff is pursuing, but another guy they are going after is Oregon grad transfer and former major Vandy WR target Jalen Brown. He could come in and fill a major need for the staff.
Also, Vanderbilt has picked up a strong preferred walk-on commitment from fullback Michael Addicks, a two-time first team All-Region 7-4A standout from the Marist School in Atlanta. He is a 6-foot, 225-pounder scored 26 touchdowns during the last two seasons of his high school career and held an offer from Air Force and had interest from Stanford.
