Go out and support the team Saturday night so that we can win and hopefully host the second match against winner of Baylor and Abilene Christian. Tennessean story below.

Not sure how UT got a number 2 seed and we didn't get even a 4 - so much for the SEC regular season and both of us loss in SEC tournament first round - bias? OK play with a big chip!

Hopefully Murray won't score a game winning goal in the final 2 seconds...

Go Dores!

Re: Ambrose says we are ready this year

Ambrose in podcast below says we are ready for long run - even though we are unseeded as I look at the bracket we get to play Baylor if we win tomorrow and Baylor looks beatable - we have a better record than they do.

We dominated Murray State 4-0 and now advance to the second round and a match against #2 bracket seed, Baylor in Waco Texas on Thursday. We played very confidently and were never in any trouble last night. With my bias fully disclosed, I think this team can beat Baylor and if we do we will be in good shape to go far in the rest of the tournament. Story about match below:

Baylor sends us home with a 1-3 loss. The second half Baylor was able to take advantage of long kicks into the box and a sort of scrum to get it in the goal. It seemed to me they were bigger, stronger and quicker than we were and played with much less finesse. Plenty for us to learn in this match, but the season was also a lesson in triumph. Vanderbilt soccer is alive and well and we will be a team to be reckoned with from now on in the SEC and nationally.
