Re: New Addition
Texas 5A player of the year as a h.s. junior.
Williams appears to have four years of eligibility remaining as he joins the Vanderbilt program.
This is getting scary...in a good way.

Jordan Williams is included among the 17 players currently listed on the team's roster.

Re: New Addition
I think Messer/Calton/Keefe are walk-ons. That puts us at 13 or 14 schollie players?

Re: New Addition
Yeah. I really don’t understand where this stands with scholarships. But if it doesn’t indicate that VU is losing any other pieces, I’m good with it.

Re: New Addition
That means we're guaranteed to keep them for ..... ONE YEAR. Or until the NCAA adopts the perpetually open transfer portal (POTP).
Re: New Addition
Great news but not quite sure how we get 14 scholarships? Hopefully no one is leaving.

Re: New Addition
I'm not quite sure I understand this addition. I don't see him as a better prospect than West, and we already have Manjon, Lewis and West at the PG position. I'm also not following how he fits from a scholarship standpoint, and if we added him but are losing someone else who is currently a part of the 13 scholarship players, I'm not sure who I would prefer to have him over. How does he fit? Is he a Preferred WO or paying his own way for school (seems unlkely)?
Note that in addition to already having Manjon, Lewis and West on the roster, we add Bilal next season at point. CJS sure does like stockpiling players who played PG in HS it seems.
This could be a Lewis/Ansong type more to fill a scholarship late if we actually had an open scholarship, so what am I missing here?

Re: New Addition
I’ve been told he is a preferred walk-on. His bio on the Vanderbilt website says he is an honors student with a 4.5 gpa or something absurd. I would assume he’s at Vanderbilt for academics.Jason94 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 1:07 pmI'm not quite sure I understand this addition.
