In all fairness to Maldo, that slider that was going to land in the back of the LH batters box. No way that ball can be hit, certainly not with authority...except dude did. He hit a 7-iron off his back ankle. I suspect Maldo and Corbs and Brownie would take that pitch in that situation everytime.

I didn't say it was a bad pitch. I'm just saying you can throw another arm they can't guess on and hit a 7 iron over the fence

I hope they’re checking the bats on those homers.

It's a dogfight now. We had all the momentum. Need a 1-2-3 inning

I didn't say that you did, and I don't necessarily disagree with you. All I'm saying is that Maldo threw what is almost always a game-ending strike-3. Did the hitter guess slider? Probably. But you still gotta hit that bending, diving monster. And to his credit, dude crushed a largely unhittable pitch.

Well the game comes down to who is most likely to hit a HR now. Not our formula in extra innings against UT. And maldo still threw 50 pitches so he's done this weekend. Could have quit the 8th with like 10 pitches and the rest of the weekend to come back again

If we had some offense, a win would have been possible. Sorry to see the good guys have an unexpectedly weak pitching night as well.
