Good morning! Vandy has about 21 (by my count) spots to fill on its roster and 20 guys publicly committed.
It will be a GREAT day if Vandy can hold onto all 20 of its commitments (especially Ka'Morreun Pimpton), pick up one of the two running backs left on the board, and maybe one more player to be named later (possibly as a greyshirt).
It will be a DISAPPOINTING day if Vandy loses Pimpton and fails to sign another running back.
One possible name to watch out for today... Joe Crocker is a 6-6 310 O-lineman from Franklin Road Academy who de-committed Tuesday from Mississippi State. Vandy coaches were spotted at FRA a week or so ago. Is it possible something is happening there?
We'll watch and report.

Here's a new name from Florida:
Hawthorne edge/linebacker Jailen Ruth will decide between USF, Washington State and Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Ruth, who helped Hawthorne win a state championship earlier this month, initially committed to Washington State in July and decommitted on Nov. 14. Ruth took an official visit to Vanderbilt this past weekend. Ruth could silently sign this week and announce as late as next week.
He will announce at noon today (11 CT). I like Vandy's odds.

Coach Lea appeared on 102.5 The Game... he came out in favor of pushing the early signing date back a bit... asked to single out one player who could make an impact, he said he couldn't single out one, but was very enthused about Kamrean Johnson whom he had just gotten off a Zoom with... 6-5, 210, very athletic, basketball player, will play a TE hybrid role in the offense....

Deago Benson is the (first?) surprise of the day... there are now three running backs in the signing class (Newberry and Alexander are the others)... he is the cousin of NFL running back Cedric Benson...

Pimpton's crystalball switched to LSU this morning. Not looking good. I think LSU's Twitter last night made a post saying done deal.

Through the process, no signee has been as enthusiastic as Ethan Crisp... he was the first commitment (except for Reese Mooney, who later de-committed)...
