I know it is impossible to tell, but any rumor as to whether we get Lawler on campus or he understandably takes the money ?

For seven or eight million I would take the money and run.

He says he is coming to school but one would have to think that it is for negotiation reasons.

My youngest son went to Jesuit College Prep in Dallas, the same school as Lawler. Lawler was interviewed for local news a few times during the season and during the playoffs. He was wearing Vandy gear during some of those interviews.baseball1234 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 12:53 pm He says he is coming to school but one would have to think that it is for negotiation reasons.
Josh Bell, who was drafted by the Pirates and now plays for the Nationals went to Jesuit. Bell told teams before the draft that he was going to honor his commitment to Texas and to not even bother drafting him.
Bell was picked 61st overall and signed with the Pirates right before school started after being offered a $5M signing bonus.
It would be very tough to walk away from the money Lawler's draft status merits.
It is still very cool to see two current Vanderbilt players and a Vanderbilt commit in the projected top 10 and in some projected top 5s.
