Or perhaps Vanderbilt is good team, a VERY GOOD team that got off to a slow start in Scottsdale.

Baseball America projected Illinois-Chicago to win the Horizon League and the Friday starter (Jacob Key) as the Horizon League Pitcher of the Year. Vanderbilt blasted Key for 9 runs; perhaps we have a good team.

Baseball America projected UIC DH to be Horizon League Freshman of the Year. Lopez went 0-4 with 2 strikeouts versus Vanderbilt pitching. Perhaps we have good pitching.

Well, the second best Horizon League team this season (according to Baseball America) is Wright State. Wright State won AT LOUISVILLE on Wednesday by a 10-3 score. That was Louisville's Home Opener and Wright State spoiled it. Wright State must not be a good team either.

not diminishing the pitching of late.. and this team could really be 6-0. with a break in Phoenix. But UIC also was blanked by Auburn .... lets see where we are after a couple of SEC series
