I hope so too because clearly Buehler was one of the stars Friday and that makes two clutch, great stars from VU dominating the World Series. Maybe the planets won’t align this way again but it’s so cool!

Gosh, now Price just batted! The tv said a lot of pitchers are getting worn out (probably from that 18 inning game).

Agreed. And he's well on his way, up 4-1 in the the 7th. An ouutstanding way to get that postseason monkey off his back.

Omg - Price is still pitching — now into the 8th. 84 pitches. They said the last three performances as a starter have possibly rewritten the “narrative” of his postseason issues. They said with him in control like this, you can see the story before your eyes of how good it is.

Now a lead off walk breaking his string of 14 retired. Manager coming up and he’s coming off the mound.

His performance tonight described by tv as “brilliant.”

Think about this: assuming Boston holds on for the win, then three of the five wins will have been started by VU grads. Buehler's start was the one game the Dodgers won, and while he didn't get the win, he pitched seven scoreless and left with a lead the bullpen blew. Price gets half the Sox wins, so that pretty much makes him the man.

Update: Boston wins it in the 9th with Sales on the mound. Price gets the win.

Should have been MVP. Pearce came up big, but Price had a greater impact.

Did you notice the fans at the Boston bar chanting "David Price, David Price, David Price" Quite a change for earlier in the year. He most definitely should have been MVP.

Disappointed they didn't give the MVP to Price, but Pearce had the huge hits that swung both games 4 & 5. I do wonder if Pearce may have stolen the MVP with the last homer to pad his stats after Price did the hard work and the Sox already had the game in hand.

It was accurately noted that Price has a "less than friendly" relationship with the media. I'm sure that had an impact, too.
