My goodness has this year been nothing that he would have wanted. He has had that deer in the headlights look for much of the season and for whatever reason has not gotten his mojo going with an exception here or there.
In yesterdays' win he pitched 2 innings and gave up the only run and two hits the Rays managed all game. It was a game when a gaggle of pitchers pitched 1 or 2 innings for the Yanks. I suspect he will not make the Yanks' post season roster unless something changes. A full bummer for Sonny I'm sure.
