Seems to be getting back into form after the bruised ribs...

Here's an interesting piece from True Blue LA regarding the plan to limit Walker to 140-150 innings. The writer suggests the rib injury was a blessing in disguise as he is under 100 innings pitched, MLB and minors combined; after last night, he's pitched 103.1 total innings. He also suggests Walker could be the No. 3 starter for the Dodgers if they make the playoffs.

Walker Buehler innings limit a near non-factor

Buehler goes seven scoreless, striking out 9, on 3 hits and leaves with a 1-0 lead. Dodgers' pitiful bullpen can't even get two outs before it is tie. Walker gets screwed again.

The game just ended. ESPN raved about him all night.. lots of positive VU baseball mentions.

Don't ignore that StL pitchers combined for a 2 hitter themselves as the RedBirds are beyond red-hot. It's not like the Dodgers lost at home to a bunch of incompetent scrubs. Cardinals baseball has caught lightning in a bottle since Matheny was (finally) let go. Him and his constant drama.

But Buehler was outstanding especially when you look at the competition he was up against.
