Another quality player who just didn't make it through in this cutthroat offseason. I saw Solomon was also transferring. It's uncomfortable, but this does point to an incredibly deep roster.

Always hopeful; rarely optimistic.

Sorry that we couldn't see what Solomon can offer...
... but there simply is no room at the (catcher) inn.
I believe he played an inning or two at first base, but as a catcher Tyler is destined to be #4 for another season. Scott returning may have been the proverbial camel straw on his decision.
The 'Dores used all three catchers on several occasions (Duvall, Scott, Clarke) as catcher, LF and DH, respectively, but even if Duvall got hurt Scott could move in from the outfield.
And even without sighing Banfield, we have another freshman catcher: Dom Keegan. Ranked 145 overall by PG in the Class of 2018, Keegan is rated the #14 catcher. Keegan has a good long-range future based on that rating and the short-range future is also good if he can play somewhere in the infield as well. If he can hit, Keegan may see some AB as the only righthanded swinger of the group. Also, Scott will be gone and Duvall may be gone after the 2019 season, creating more PT behind the plate.

Yikes thats a drop. A lot of pressure to light it up his first season there and then transfer to a better school for his junior and senior seasons.AuricGoldfinger wrote:Announces on Instagram he's transferring to St. Johns River State Junior College in Florida.
