Their web site said they made history by winning a series while getting four hits or less per game (or something to that effect).
The progress we saw in the doubleheader against Ole Miss is gone & wasted with these past two games.

Re: Missouri makes history
IN all three games our starting pitching was winning pitching they had something like 1 earned run in each game, but it was our offense that struggled. Today was a great win to give us exam momentum. Still in a position to make this a great season considering the number of freshmen.

Re: Missouri makes history
Well, we gifted them game 1. That said, Missouri is much improved and loaded with veterans. It's also hard to win on the road in the SEC. There is a lot of parity in the league this season as well. We'll be okay as long as we get to the NCAA. There we'll have much better umping. We should have Bleday back by then too (hopefully earlier).

Holding Missouri to six runs in three games is good. The problem is batting, which has been the problem since the California trip.

Re: Missouri makes history
This was going to be a deceptively challenging series--the Tigers have really good starting pitching and have been nearly unbeatable at home. Our starting pitching was fantastic all three days. But we made so many errors in games 1 and 2 that we killed any chance of winning the series. Incredibly frustrating to squander that kind of pitching.
