Re: Your titans prediction thread
example on how to answer:
------------------------------
1) Regular season final record 7 - 9
2) Playoffs? Yes or No NO
3) What place finish in AFC South 3rd
or putting the answer on a line under the question is allowable
Riddle answers that make little sense are discouraged.
Example: Vrable+Mariota= > 2 Mettenbergers + a Munchak
------------------------------
1) Regular season final record 7 - 9
2) Playoffs? Yes or No NO
3) What place finish in AFC South 3rd

Re: Your titans prediction thread
This is just a prediction thread.
1. Regular season record: 10-6
2. Playoffs? Yes
3. What place finish? 1st
I am basing all of this on the offense really being good this year (like Mariota throwing for 4000+ yards). This is basically a contract year for him, and it is time to prove himself.
But since this is a new coaching staff, I can certainly understand predictions of a losing season. I think we will know a lot more after the Miami game.
Strange fact: the Titans are 3-0 in their last three game 1 contests on the road, but 0-3 when those games are at home. So I am hoping the trend continues.

1. Regular Season: 8-8
2. Playoffs: No
3. Position in league: 3rd
Schedule is tougher this year, and team is no different.

So you didn't hesitate to spend your first pick in the fantasy football draft at the office on Mariota, right?Titans309fan wrote:This is just a prediction thread.

The schedule is actually easier (based on last year's records), and the team is very different.BelleVUe wrote:Schedule is tougher this year, and team is no different.
New coaching staff (modern, more pass happy)
New running back starters (Lewis and Henry, rather than Murray being the focus)
Wide receivers corp much different (Davis, Sharpe, and Taylor should get a lot more yards/Tds)
New main cornerback (Butler)
New linebackers/edge rushers (Evans and Landry)
The big question is whether there is too much change this year for everything to start working smoothly.

I quit fantasy football a few years ago. But I would rank him in the middle of NFL qbs based on the potential of this coaching staff. 4000+ passing yards isn't hard to do, and some recently have had over 5000 yards.EllistonVU wrote:

I'm not doing it FF this season either. He may have been OK as a bye week or emergency backup. He's not Brady or Rogers or Breeze.Titans309fan wrote:I quit fantasy football a few years ago. 17 regular season games? I guess today's game counts as 2 games.ANCHORDOWN01 wrote:1. Regular Season: 5-12

Good seats are now available for all home games (except Philly) at LOW prices.

After that gruesome injury, he is likely out for the year.Titans309fan wrote:Yes, he started practicing before the last preseason game.dcdore wrote:Is Walker gonna play?
After the loss today and Walker's injury, 6 to 8 wins are more likely. It depends on how quickly the Titans can get to full health and whether the AFC South is any good or not.
Patriots game is the most expensive home game. Tickets are going for for about 6-7 times face value.

I forgot about NE...tickets are going for a fortune for that and Philly. I wonder if they priced hotels for those weekends? Those guys must really love their team for what they will by paying to visit here. I want to see it mentioned in the local sports media when they outnumber Titans "fans" in the stadium.Titans309fan wrote:After that gruesome injury, he is likely out for the year.Titans309fan wrote:Yes, he started practicing before the last preseason game.dcdore wrote:Is Walker gonna play?

8 wins? Pipe dream alert. Buffalo is their only sure win between now and November. With or without the very overrated mediocre Mariota.
