Re: Got to love...
Not trying to take you out of context, but removed some bits of your post to focus on my point: There’s an inherent contradiction in the idea that you don’t know the players on the team due to many departures from the team, yet you admit to not following the team any more due in part to lack of win...

Re: Got to love...
Count me as someone whose interest has waned. Part of it is probably due to our particular circumstance and part of it is a broader lack of interest in college basketball. As far as Vandy, things under Stallings were getting stale. Briefly excited when we hired Drew as he had a solid track record an...

Re: Observations Tonight
Wins and losses aside, for these first two years, it feels like Stackhouse's teams seem to have gotten better as the season goes on. Yea we'd blow out a couple cupcake opponents early on but would then struggle against some mid major teams. And then we seemed to improve as we moved through SEC play....

Re: Vanderbilt-Mizzou thread
Pretty obvious the poster "kay" is an irrational Lea hater. So any post this person makes is to be taken with a grain of salt. As far as this game, is anyone really complaining about the design of the hail mary defense? Again irrational dislike of Lea. Next time he rushes 5, we get zero pr...

Re: How was that not a fumble???
When I saw the replay I thought there was a decent chance they overturn it. But I thought it wasn't obvious he had full control when he threw it. So was hoping it wasn't "indisputable", but clearly they thought it was.

Re: Why??
I said the same thing. Play for the win right there. And if you dont make it, they need to go 60 yards or so for the chance to kick a long FG for the tie. And very possible if they know they only need the FG for the tie, they may play a little more conservatively once they get in FG range. With our ...

I know it just happened so everyone is bummed but please.... who in their mind didnt see this as a realistic ending when they settled for the FG?

Re: Vandy-South Carolina thread
They should have gone for it on 4th down near the goaline. Give yourself a chance to win it right there. And playing prevent defense the rest of the way always seems to be a disaster for us.
Terrible way to lose a game.

Re: Inherited Rosters in 2011, 2014 & 2021
Not really fair to judge how good the players are that Mason left for Lea. Will need to wait a year or two to see how good some of these young guys turn out. But even then if they play really well is it due to Mason's great recruiting or Lea's coaching. Ralph Webb and Zach Cunningham were redshirt f...

Re: Inherited Rosters in 2011, 2014 & 2021
What is inarguable is that Mason inherited a program in a much better state than anything Franklin or Lea had. Even if the inherited rosters were identical, Mason should have had a much easier time recruiting better players in his first couple classes and maintaining what was already there. Franklin...

Re: VU v UConn
Don't feel as good about this win as I did the CSU one. But still counts the same. Don't see us winning another the rest of the season if we play like that. Hopefully this will give us a little juice though and we get a little more confidence.
Rough night for that DB Jeudy.

Imagine a kids disappointment when he sees the red helicopter thinking Nick Saban is gonna step out only to see it's Vandy.
If he wants to make an entrance maybe he can drive around in a busted up mercury with a enormously loud backfire. Paint the vandy star on the front hood.

Wow had to look them up. Apparently they call themselves the UVA Wise Cavaliers. Same mascot and everything. Almost makes me wonder if theyre like the 8th grade squad to UVA's varsity team.
And they scored nearly 5 times a many points against ETSU (on the road) as we did (at home).

Re: Vanderbilt-ETSU game thread
Agreed. Our offense has enough good players where we should be able to move the ball against a 1aa school. This is on coaching. Not sure what I expected with Raih but considering his recent time under kliff Kingsbury I was thinking of something a little more imaginative. I want to make a Karl Dorrel...

Re: Had a crazy idea, thought I'd run it by you
The area around mile high has really grown since I lived there but you could easily do that. Was actually in Denver last week at a rockies game before backpacking in rocky mtn national park. Wasn't looking too closely but surprised by how much around downtown and mile high has filled in. Some of the...
