Re: Joejuan Williams out for the season

he was probably going to get cut so this might actually work out better for him financially

Re: We Aren't Last in the SEC!!!

hard to argue with that ranking...was pretty close to how I would rank them. The only thing worse than being embarrassed by another SEC team on the field is looking embarrassing while doing it. At least we're half way there.

Re: Sneak preview of Vandy's new helmet design for 2022

I'm digging it - very slick look...I just want us to pick something and ride it out (though there are only a few teams left that don't have multiple helmets)

(side note - still no hats for sale with the new logo, and still about 2 shirt options...absurd)

they could have just replaced the logo area if the whole field were newer...if it's the original from 2012 it was time to swap it out, the technology for that stuff gets better every couple of years.

Re: Summer league guys of local interest

Stack was there watching the game as well, and received some nice exposure on the broadcast. He also talked to His Lordship: https://twitter.com/BenGolliver/status/1545595085298880513 This kind of thing has to help recruiting. Is there any other college coach with Stack's NBA currency? I know there...

Re: Ohio St coach Ryan Day: It will take $13 million in NIL to keep our roster together

Ryan Day makes $4.5 million a year and the assistant coaches' (10) payroll is $8.2, so $13 million for the guys actually doing the work, bringing in the profit (athletic department reported $235 million in revenue) and risking their bodies seems like a pretty good deal.

Re: Ugly Logo-PLEASE!

The new "V" has actually won me over - I like it (the "old" block V with no star is ugly)...I just can't believe you can't yet buy a hat with the new logo on it. There are a few shirts available, but no hat...that's absurd. Go to the official shop and sort the items by "newe...

Re: OT: Vandy adding women's volleyball

Will we have extra lines painted onto Ingram Court like we see at other schools? Probably better to put folding bleachers in the practice gym. The lines shouldn’t cause problems there. The preferred material for NCAA courts is a PVC product (SportCourt) so it would have to be installed over the bas...

Re: Here's a sneak peek of the new gold helmets with the updated "V" logo

I like it...the old block "V" without the star doesn't look good as a stand-alone "V"...bad proportions

I like the new V in the star better, but it is a superior "V"

I have a confession to make...

I like the new "V"...I like the current star-V but I do not like how the current block V looks by itself outside of the star, so it doesn't look good on the helmet or baseball hat - it is too tall and the proportion isn't right as a stand-alone letter. At least the new V looks much better ...

Re: went by to pick up some new logo gear...

I was impressed by the quantity and variety of "old" gear though...just seemed silly to buy any of it. This is good news. I’ve been telling myself I need to get by and stock up as I have no intentions of getting anything with the new logo Me too. Is the old stuff on sale? no, I was thinki...

went by to pick up some new logo gear...

I was in Nashville for a few days, happened to be there when the "new identity" was revealed so I went by the bookstore the next day to pick up some new gear...it was not and should not have been a big surprise but the options were underwhelming. You would think it would be a bigger deal, ...

Re: Streaming services continue to buy up rights to televised sports

ESPN+ at $6/month on Roku is one of my favorite things in the world. Getting to see almost all of the VandyBoys games this time of the year? My favorite mid-major hoops games all winter from this and other parts of the nation? Being able to watch past games from the archives if I forgot to DVR them...

Re: Sheesh! OU's Caleb Williams is now in the transfer portal?!

Waiting for the booster with the biggest pockets to step up and say, "I'd like for you to endorse my BMW dealership, and I'll give you a free car or $100,000 to make my commercial." I think we're dealing with much larger numbers than that...Ohio State's 4th string QB Quinn Ewers got $1.4 ...

Re: What do you think now about bowl opt-outs?

They made a commitment to...the coach I get what you're saying (though I wouldn't allow myself to get sick over the decision of a 19-21 year old that I don't know) but I wouldn't use the "commitment to the coach" as being a reason why they should play every game. I don't want to paint all...

it will be interesting to see how long these boosters / businesses are willing to invest in players that may never play, turn out to be no good or take a hike into the transfer portal after a year...perhaps the Oklahoma folks who "invested" in Spencer Rattler are re-thinking their decision
