Re: Portal need to be change to one year only

Whether we like it or not, the transfer rule is here to stay, perhaps with some modifications. There is some NCAA discussion about one free transfer, then if there is a second transfer the player sits out for a year. But, and this is a big but, there could be exceptions. In my view the previous rule...

Re: What I Love About Stackhouse

I still can’t get over the coaching atrocity that was Dew’s last year here. 0-18. With 3 future (at least borderline) NBA players on the roster. Not including Garland. What a complete disaster. H. It happened. Get over it. Move on. Tired of being reminded of it. Over and over. Oh, and he clapped a ...

Re: Vandy-UAB Thread

The announcers said that all UAB starters are seniors who previously played at power 5 schools (or something like that). Without taking away anything from our team, UAB was as good or better than advertised, in my view.

Re: Stute into the portal

During today's win over Michigan one of the announcers said that Stute is leaving because he felt that Stack did not use him properly. I don't know what Stute expected, as he is a spot up shooter whose shots stopped falling. He does not drive well or handle the ball well. He does have other good qua...

Lawrence

Lawrence has made major strides in improving his game from last year and during this year. He has been a very pleasant surprise this year. I think injuries held him back in the past. Question: In what particular areas does Lawrence need additional improvement to be an NBA prospect? He has decent siz...

Re: Stute into the portal

From what I have seen he is a hard worker. However, his 3 point shooting was cyclical this year, sometimes hurting the team. I do not know enough to analyze his strengths and weaknesses. Others more knowledgeable can fill in the blanks. Maybe he saw that his playing time would diminish as the younge...

Re: The NIT isn't the worst thing

First of Feb., we would have been ecstatic to know we're a shoo-in for any post-season tourney. Sorry, but not making the NCAAT next season will be inexcusable. And i hope unsurvivable for the coaching staff. Totally wrong conclusion. I completely disagree. Consistently, different TV announ...

If we win the whole thing Lunardi would probably drop us to completely out.

Re: Chris Beard emerges as frontrunner at Ole Miss

Not too hard to do due diligence- just open the newspaper! :) This doesn't surprise me at all. I was surprised Texas let him go- they are usually willing to give the accused the benefit of the doubt for longer than they did with him. I live in a town outside Austin. I am so tired of reading in the ...

Re: Manjon

He seemed to enjoy playing for Stack and for the Dores. I think he will come back, but other than his apparent enjoyment I have nothing to go on. He has not sent me any secret messages. Players are motivated to play for a particular school for many different reasons. They love the relationship with ...

QMB

QMB played a gutsy, hard game against KY. His 3 point shot to end the half was remarkable. He received the ball outside his comfort zone with just seconds left in the half. He looked at the clock and saw there was not enough time left to pass to a shooter. So what did he calmly do? Shoot the 3 point...

Re: I didn't miss that one!

Great game to watch. Isn't it one of the most improbable wins in Vandy basketball history? On the road against a taller team. It seems that KY is loaded with 4 and 5 star players. We have maybe 1 or 2 four star players. The rest of our team consists of 3 star players. Several times the announcers ta...

Re: Big trouble for Alabama's Brandon Miller from January incident

The District Attorney for Tuscaloosa County is an elected position. He knows that if he seeks an indictment of Miller his chances of re-election are diminished. Just saying. I have no idea about the integrity of the DA. As to the University of Alabama, they want to win, at football, or any other spo...

Which SEC basketball coach is most unlikeable?

The SEC has several unlikeable basketball coaches. I am trying to decide which one I dislike the most, irrespective of whether or not I like or dislike their school. There may be some ties. My final four are Calipari, Musselman, Pearl and Oats. Hmmm. LSU ran off their coach, so that makes the choice...

What I enjoy about college basketball

The original poster wrote about what he or she did not like about today's basketball. However, the positives were overlooked. 1. I believe that today's players in general are more athletic than, say, 20 years ago. 2. Part of the reason for better athleticism is better training, starting at a younger...

According to the guys on the SEC Now show immediately after the game, the SEC office relayed that the refs said that they couldn't find a replay angle to determine exactly when the phantom foul occurred, so they just decided on .03 seconds. In other words, they just made it up. There, corrected it f...

Re: What a pleaser to watch Manjon

I thought Manjon did a great job defending against Green, one of the better point guards in the SEC, averaging 13.6 points per game with 4.3 assists. Against Vandy, Green was credited with only five points and one assist. Manjon picked Green up early and stayed with him. Green is very quick, but so ...

Re: Great Game!!!

Yes, What an exciting game, back and forth. Great win. However, the refs' behavior during last less than a second seemed bizarre. It appeared that the refs wanted to show who was really the star of the show, the winner. Themselves. Manjon's drive to the basket and to score with 0.8 left was fantasti...
