Re: AD Lee: New logo is 'board-approved', we're not going back

Oh gosh -- what is it with these folks who think the anthem honoring the sacrifices of our war dead and wounded, for over 200 years, deserves some solemn reflection? Maybe for 2 minutes or so?

Nah-who cares about that stuff any more?

Re: AD Lee: New logo is 'board-approved', we're not going back

I fully expect a "report" to surface that Commodore Vanderbilt conducted business with persons who utilized slave labor in some fashion. And perhaps someone will "discover" information that the Commodore owned property that once belonged to Native Americans. Etc, etc. It is just ...

Re: Vanderbilt announces "refreshed visual identity", includes new logos for sports teams

Well the single star is significant for it's history as a component of the original Commodore insignia as part of naval rank. Is there another reason why the Star has been removed? Are we looking at more cancelling of a small part of US culture? Wouldn't be a surprise these days. The Star V has been...

Re: CJS offers help for UT player whose home burned

Making racist conclusions from the statistics regarding the recent Presidential election is uninformed at best. At worst, it is a equally as racist in intention. A sad irony.

Re: CJS offers help for UT player whose home burned

I am trying to be objective on this one. To wit: He does not have a winning record so far. He has a couple of respectable wins, but not a "signature" win. His inappropriate comments ( apparently on the record ) last year alienated many potential supporters. He never apologized for that, at...

The Athletic-Feb 12, 2021. One doesn't have to read between the lines too far.

The mean stare stuff turns me off. I'd rather watch Calipari or Pearl-at least they seem to be engaging their players and responding to situations in the moment.

Re: giving credit where it's due....

How about we stop with the "you are a racist" baloney if one doesn't care for the coach. I was offended by Stackhouse"s (racist) comments a while back. I do not care for his sideline demeanor. I think that certainly, initially, he and the team has grossly underachieved, at least until...

Re: Chatman

Best complete game this year.

Seems all players and coaches finally on the same page. There were some great assists, outstanding shooting, defense and rebounding. Sure hope this is to be the norm now.

I cannot find some of the great moments that used to be available:

Goheen vs Louisville

Radio broadcast of Shan's Mississippi State game

There are many others-wonder where they went?

I expect his poor free throw shooting is a reason. But that can be improved. I hope that is happening.

Im just glad to see a big post player get a pass inside occasionally. Then it is nice to see them go straight to the hoop for a dunk without hesitation.

And Memorial Gym had the best basketball atmosphere in the nation at one time. Maybe one day we hear it

Re: If you like mediore basketball then...

Some of us don't have that as a realistic option--in football some call it "The Curse". An old friend, who played DB at Kentucky in the 70's once said he had enough frustration and losing years ago -- and was going to become a UT fan. Yes I called BS on that. That will never happen. Nope n...

Warren, Wyenandt, Hagan, Lee, Grace , John Ed , Weber, Wallace, Freeman , Davis, Southwood, F-Troop- gosh and so many more- these players were great fun to watch. I wish I still felt that way about it now.

There wasn't time to dribble up the floor.

Very poor coaching at the critical time. No apparent plan.
