My Theory

My guess is that Langford has already decided on which school to attend. He would have already announced his decision if it were Indiana. Instead, he will announce Vandy on signing day. In that event he does not receive ongoing pressure from Indiana fans to sign with them. Just my theory and I am st...

Re: ANOTHER POTENTIAL 2018 RECRUIT

He looks great. However, we already have players for both forward positions who a rated higher. He might bring a more physical form of play, but I don't see how he would fit in for playing time.

Re: Vandy-Georgia Thread

Any post game comment on Saben Lee's condition. Looked like his back was bothering him mid 2nd half on. At one point was on the floor near the bench stretching out. On the postgame show Drew said he sat Lee for a while in the second half because Willis was playing so well. Didn't mention anything a...

Re: quick thoughts

I thought both Roberson and LaChance were tired/exhausted from playing so many hard minutes against KY. That may have affected their free throw shooting. It was like running wind sprints for 40 minutes.

Great Name - that said, one of my old neighbors was (no joke) Dr. Butcher MD.

I had a neighbor who was a urologist. His partner was Dr. Rape. True.

Re: EJ Montgomery: another uncommitted 5 star that we have a shot at

Is this a dream?????? Vandy getting so many 5 star players? We have never gotten any before. It seems like Garland is the catalyst. He has been our recruiting ace, the magnet to get others. What a get.

Re: All 130 FBS head coaches ranked by collegefootballnews.com

This was someone's subjective opinion. It appears that his criteria was each team's results compared with expectations. Of course expectations for each team vary across the board. Just look at the poll taken on this board prior to the last season about what our wins and losses would be. I think this...

I can't find anything about him. Further, he is not listed as a Vandy commit on the list of commits this board runs. Can anyone provide information about him. Thanks.

Re: SEC and SEC refs controlling 2nd half

Refs did not beat us, lack of defensive adjustments on Williams did. But we still could have won had we had made defensive adjustments, as you mention, and also had we simply made the same kinds of shots we made in the first half instead of fading in our energy to make them late. From what I saw on...

Re: OT: Swanson and Bregman

[quote="HopsLikeHolwerda"][quote="Ndorefin"] As far as striking out, you have to understand that the game today is completely different than 5-10 years ago. The days of "choke and poke" with 2 strikes are over. Sabermetrics rule the day, and they say swing away. It does...

Re: Vandy - Alabama Game Thread

Glad we won. This team has some obvious limitations. But, I’m going to say it, I am beginning to doubt CBD’s coaching chops We were not able to handle full court trapping pressure at the end of the game. Roberson threw the ball in to Riley, who just Stood there in the corner guarded by two Alabama ...

Re: Next Year Romeo Langford & Taeshon Cherry

I don't think Cherry is really a Langford backup. Plus, he wasn't really being recruited by us until he decommited. Unless Bryce knows for sure that 2 will leave, I don't think he'll focus too much on Taeshon. Cherry is listed as a power forward. That may not be correct. However, if true, next year...

Re: Next Year And Redshirts

Brown would probably transfer before redshirting his junior year. I see Austin as a grad transfer next year. Next year Brown may be the number 3 power forward behind Shittu and Ryan. Brown's playing time may be close to zero. When Brown signed with Vandy I thought he was going to be a great player....

Re: Next Year And Redshirts

Especially if Langford signs, there are way too many players to give ample PT. Someone if not more might need to redshirt. What do you think? I think Obinna would be in great need of one if he would accept it. Great upside but far from ready now. If Lanford signs I think Autin is the odd man out an...

Number of signees

Don,
Above you have pictures of 19 "signees". However, in drop down "Football Commit" page off of the opening page you list 18. It is my understanding that the difference is Jones, who it seems did not commit. Please correct the discrepancy. Thanks.

Re: Schanio -UT deal was leaked out today

I think there's a good chance he'll get paid. The MOU has also been leaked. There are spaces for chancellor and president signatures but no language that says such signatures are needed to fulfill the deal. Also, if Schiano performed work in the short time after he signed, that could complicate thi...

Re: Welp - I watched Proot's Presser

His success, or lack thereof, will depend in large part on the assistants he is able to hire. Is he respected enough among the coaching fraternity that he will draw a top staff? I don't know the answer.
