Re: Mason: Fall camp over; time to get ready for MTSU

I wonder if Hassan is just a bit slow making his reads. Or maybe he has the 3rd team line in front of him. Looking at the drive notes, it sounds like they're working hard to get him ready and immersing him in the system. I just think he's still learning our offense. Looking at his video - he looks ...

Re: Mason: Fall camp over; time to get ready for MTSU

Sounds like Wakefield continues to play well.

MIntze had two sacks. That's nice to read.

Hasan got some good reps - but sounds like he struggled.

Re: Mitchell commits to Georgia

We'll never know how much the August Surprise with the administration affected this decision. Unless, a recruit comes out and publicly says something, it will be an inside secret that only coaches might know. Has anybody at all committed at the 3-star level or higher since this ship hit the fan? No...

Re: Dore Jam?

Anyone who attended the Oilers games at the Dud can attest - that stadium COMPLETELY ceases to function when it sells out and reaches capacity attendance. At half time, a line would form up the steps to get into the tunnel to go to the concession area. The 2nd half would start 15 minutes later and ...

Re: Dore Jam?

So you say you've had issues and I just haven't...sure I've seen it more crowed at times but never took me 30 minutes unless I wanted it too. Just curious , so it takes less time at other stadiums to get a coke and use the restroom????? Commadore ain't lying. I'm guessing he's referring to a packed...

Georgia and Alabama run the 3-4. Not sure what UT will be doing.
Stanford does as well.

I think we saw in 2016 that it can work well.

Re: 3-4 or 4-3?

From my vantage, we line up in the odd front with 9 technique most of the time.
I've come around to the 3-4. When Woody tried it as head coach, it was a disaster. But that appeared to be as much about personnel.

As many good defenses in the NFL and college run the 3-4 as the 4-3.

Re: Spiro Agnew

I'd really like to see CDM succeed here. He is a good representative of the university, players love him, and the real guy shows through instead of a lot of coach-speak. If he does post a couple of solid seasons he would be in a good leverage position to get some of the things that the university d...

Re: Interesting comment from Andy Ludwig at today's presser

Right - I'm pretty sure he's just trying to put pressure on his RBs and OLine to improve in the running game. Every team tries to nurture a run to win mentality.
If they can't do it, they throw more.

We lost one to transfer, one to this violation.
Here we are.
We actually do have a TE who played qb, so we may get our sarcastic wish.

Re: Horrible News

Yes horrible for Deuce. For the team, it's only "horrible," if Shurmur gets injured--which frankly, may be horrible even with Deuce. As for Walters capability, I'm glad that he's way ahead of Shurmur at this point, but not "excited." Freshman Walters could be "way ahead"...

Re: The 22 VU Starters - How Good Are They This Year???

These guys wouldn’t all be starters at Bama by any means , but they’re all “SEC level players” Offense: Shurmur, Vaughn, Lipscomb, Pinkney, Skule, Reagan Defense: Both of the Odeyingbo brothers, Charles Wright, based on what I’m hearing from practice I would add Jordan Griffin and Josh Smith, Joeju...

Re: The 22 VU Starters - How Good Are They This Year???

Just wondering...How many of the VU starters this year (22 players) could be starters on say - Bama? Wow that's a tough question re: Bama. I'd say on defense, Charles Wright, Dayo Odeyingbo and JoeJuan Williams could at least play for anyone - if not start. On offense, I'd say Lipscomb and Pinkney ...
