I'm thrilled about Matt Ryan.
When he was at ND he was a true impact player.
When he transferred, I couldn't believe he was young enough to make that worth while. He played like a salty vet up there.

And yes, can shoot the lights out.

Re: Depth Chart Concern

Everyone's planning on Deuce returning, but you never know. If he does that would be Deuce, Hasan, and Walters plus whomever we recruit. We're still the favorite for 6'5" Cornelius Brown. I actually like Hasan's potential, I like what I've heard about Deuce. If Walters pans out, that would be ...

Re: Hugh Freeze got himself an OC job

If Mason is around on Dec. 1 he needs to (1) fire Ludwig, (2) call Freeze first, second and third and (3) lobby the SEC office to make it happen. Bama may be clean-ish these days, but we don't have even the specter of an NCAA history. I'd make an argument that this is a place where Freeze can be re...

Depth Chart Concern

Allan Walter is not on the depth chart this week. He traveled to UGA.
Does this mean he's out of commission for the homecoming game?
If so, that means we literally have only 2 serviceable qbs for this game... and Shurmur is dinged up.

Re: Flexbone offense

To echo part of what others have said.
For Vandy - no matter what we do, we need a very mobile qb.
When you have that - all the gaps are in play.

Re: Flexbone offense

I love triple option but I thought Gerry's version of it... the ibone... was stupid. Stacking up all the backs in a line is not ideal. It negates some of the unpredictability and forces a bunch of players to get out of each other's way. I prefer the wishbone or better yet Paul Johnson's veer - where...

Re: Charles Wright & Vechio (sp?)

I thought i heard during the broadcast of UGA that one them (Veccio I think) was simply ill, not injured.

Not sure about Wright.

Any word on Shurmur's ankle? He was standing on sideline later but on the replay - it definitely looked like he suffered an injury.

Re: Morsels from the Depth Chart

No 2 WR behind Lipscomb is true freshman Amir Abdur-Rahman. This kid is quite a specimen and had a sick highlight reel coming in from an Atlanta HS. He was a late commit so he didn't get a lot of fanfare, but I thought his reel looked fantastic. Interesting that he's vaulted over Tennyson now that ...

Re: ND hammers Stanford tonight

Yeah how is it that some can rationalize penalizing VU both for out-playing a good team and barely losing, and for playing playing even against a lesser team and winning?

Seems irrational.

Re: Not To Rub It In But

Jay Fray just lost to OSU - and for the life of me - I don't know how he managed to do it. They had 12 pt lead with under 8 min (after a failed 2pt try.) Needing to just slow the game and bleed the clock - they gave up two TDs in 5 min: a 1:18, 3 play drive capped by a 47 yd catch and run. Punted on...

Re: Trace or Kyle?

I thought Shurmur was bad today. Well... inconsistent and kept us from pulling away. He missed on two TD bombs and was late on several throws. Even passes that were complete forced the WRs to tiptoe on the boundary when they should have been easy completions. I've said before...I was completely wron...

I want triple gold - (but I hate the gold on our jerseys and pants.)

We wore triple gold in Johnson era UT game. It looked sweet.

Re: Joshua Skule's dad is an FBI Director

Could to know we've got fans in the Bureau.

Next week, could they send one of their janitor/agents to the UF athletic dept, act like he's mopping the floor and steal the script for their first 15 plays?
